John Murray, Spurgeon, K P Yohannan weigh in on the head covering

The Head Covering Movement website has turned up some very good quotes recently, one by John Murray, one by Charles Spurgeon and an online book by K P Yohannan, all in favor of the added head covering.

  1. I really appreciate your comments on Wallace's statements. It's amazing how in his former argument, understanding this to refer to a literal, physical covering, he has a solid foundation, and the passage makes perfect sense. Yet in the latter reasoning, which he currently holds to, it is pretty much devoid of evidence from the scripture.
How the world and the "Church" receives or understands this has no bearing. This world is at enmity with God and the natural man does not receive the things of God. How many other commands in the Bible are we going to do this to? What are the limits? As far as the churches deciding what the symbol should be goes, where did Paul instruct them to do that? If God/Paul wanted to allow the churches to do something different than what he told them, based on their culture etc, it probably would have been conveyed.
    Dan Wallace's conclusion is disappointing.
